Common Questions.

Everything you need to know about REscan's technology, scanning process, and platform capabilities.

Buildings evolve during design, construction, and use. REscan captures the built environment as it actually exists and applies AI to generate semantic insights, detect anomalies, and update the digital twin automatically as changes occur.

REscan uses AI/ML to automatically clean noise, segment objects, assign semantics, detect anomalies, and deliver datasets. This approach enables faster interpretation compared to manual labeling.

All AI outputs are validated via human-in-the-loop review in edge cases; confidence thresholds can be adjusted. We also provide raw, 'no-AI' views so you can audit or override.

Yes. Facilities of any age benefit from AI-enhanced digital twins through operational efficiencies, improved asset tracking, and predictive maintenance insights.

REscan's patented AI-assisted spatial data system can scan up to 250,000 sq. ft. per hour. Actual throughput varies by facility complexity.

Scanning generates approximately 100GB per hour using hot-swappable drives. AI-assisted compression and preprocessing reduces long-term storage requirements.

Post-processing storage ranges from 20–40 GB depending on feature richness and building complexity.

The helmet is designed for continuous uninterrupted operation with hot-swappable batteries and storage. In practice, we have yet to encounter a scenario where scanning had to stop due to power or storage limitations.

For every hour of scanning, fully automated AI processing averages about 50 hours, depending on site size and feature richness.

REscan provides professional scanning services. Clients choose cloud-hosted or on-premises storage while retaining full data ownership.

REscan's system can ingest and process all industry standard point cloud, tessellated mesh, and constructive geometry file types.

Yes. REscan holds multiple SBIR contracts from the Air Force to research and develop AI-enhanced digital twin capabilities for defense applications.

REscan achieves an average horizontal and vertical accuracy of 1.4 inches (3.5 cm), with AI-assisted alignment and loop closure ensuring consistency across large sites.

No. REscan's technology is NOT dependent on WebGL as a rendering engine.

Yes. Data can be delivered as monolithic downloads AND/OR streamed in real time, with AI-driven streaming ensuring optimized performance on any device.
